Bio

Shivalingappa  Rajapur is one of the most promising flautists in the Hindustani music arena. Born in the year 1981 to sri Nagappa Rajapur & Smt Nagamma Rajapur of Gulbarga, he started learning music at a young age of 5 years from his father and continued his tutelage under Ustad shek Abdulla Khazi AIR artist Gulbarga. Shivalingappa  Rajapur blossomed under the finest tutelage of renowned international flute mastero Pt. Ronu Majumdhar Mumbai.

He completed his vidwath exam in music with first grade and has given many solo concerts at various places in Karnataka and India.

Recipient of Mancha Pradarshana scholarship in the year 2005 – 2006, won consequetive award in the national youth music competition from 2005 to 2007 held in Hyderabad, Gandhinagar & Lucknow.

Has extensively toured New Zealand, Malaysia and other countries as a solo performer and accompanying artist.

Shivalingappa  Rajapur is a most sought accompanying artist for background music, has lent his musical prowess to many score for movies, television serials and dance.
